We had a really
great Balloon Derby!!! Each year,
the Chamber does a drawing from the paid up membership to give away their Balloon Sponsorship. This year the winner was Green Hills Pharmacy with David Gardner taking the balloon ride. My Thanks go out to the Balloon Sponsors for making it possible for Brookfield to host such a remarkable event. These sponsors are mostly local businesses, and shopping with them all year long assures they’ll be here to sponsor yet another year.
Chamber lunch was held at "A Step Back in Time" at Noon

Our website is continually changing and growing. The Chamber is hosting the
Brookfield Sesquicentennial page, and it is under construction as we
speak.
We have had businesses moving around all over town. "Junk & Disorderly" has moved across from the Chamber into the old Fat Busters Building. "TK's Overstock Store" has moved into the old Mobley Building where "Junk & Disorderly" was and they are also keeping the present TK's Overstock store to sell furniture in TK's Overstock II". Marge & Bob Grimes have opened up a ladies clothing store, called "The Store Next Door" next to her restaurant "Simply Country" out on Helm Street by the water tower, and we have a new surprise business moving into the old Mary's Bridal Shop. There are a few more moves going on, but it's too soon to tell all!!!
My final words are for my old Chamber President and long time business man in Brookfield…Rod Billingsley. You will be missed by us all.
If you
have a question on anything that’s going on, please feel free to call the chamber office @
660-258-7255 or e-mail chamber@brookfieldmochamber.com.
Till next month…thanks for reading “CHAMBER CHATTER”!!!
